$100 Room Challenge | Week 3: Painted Shed Exterior

I am finally making some visible progress on the shed! Up until now this project has just been living in my head for the past 2.5 years. But for whatever reason it always takes 10x less times to actually do the project than it took to think and plan out the project.

Week 1: The Befores
Week 2: Exterior Paint Mockup

I got a few samples from Home Depot to test how dark I really wanted to go. I wanted a gray brown with cool undertones so it would fade into the trees but still look pretty on it's own. I am almost exclusively a Behr customer now, even though I love Sherwin Williams, Home Depot is a little more rom left to right: Berry Brown, Peppery, Intellectual.

I chose Peppery (the middle) because it wasn't too dark but still had a nice cool gray undertone. While I did get the Peppery on the walls, I did not paint the white trim. Thankfully I have some extra white paint on hand and won't need to spend any money from the $100 budget.

Surprisingly to me, it only took about an hour to paint! It was my first time using Behr Marquee paint and I LOVE it. It really is a one coat paint and it's guaranteed. It's about $10-$15 more than regular paint but is so worth it.

BUDGET USED
Behr Paint in Peppery — $41

I still have $59 left of my budget so I really think I can get this all done within the budget. But even it I only get the exterior done for this challenge, I'll be a happy camper.

What's next on the list is to re-do the ramp, finish painting the white trim, and paint the cement blocks.
