The Ultimate Black Friday Sales List

Black Friday is actually here, and Christmas is not far behind. I am not the kind of person who goes out on Black Friday in search of deals, but I do love to sit behind my computer in my pj's and surf my favorite stores for awesome savings. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are when I do a big chunk of my Christmas shopping because you get such great deals, and as a plus I can stay home which let's face it, is better than getting dressed. So, I've rounded up some of my favorite stores and the deals that they have going on this weekend, just make sure to put in the code when you check out if one is needed!

Thanksgiving 2015

Happy Thanksgiving little turkeys! It's hard to believe that this day is here so fast, but even weirder to think that Christmas is only 28 days away... yeah. That means I actually have to start looking for Christmas presents. This Thanksgiving we all gathered together and ate a great meal like we usually do. We watched the Lions crush the Eagles and it was a super fun day. I wore this incredibly soft and warm sweater with my new booties that I can not seem to stop wearing. And it seems that I wear this scarf every Thanksgiving, like last year's post, but it's just so festive. Also, my jeans are green... I swear. They are emerald green. But they look black in these pictures. Tomorrow's Black Friday so everybody be safe and be kind!

p.s. Gap is having a 50% off everything sale for today until the end of Friday! So scoop up these amazing jeggings for only $35.

The Proposal

It has been a long time my readers. But for good reason. I GOT ENGAGED!!!! So that kind of changed all of the plans that I had for this week. I am still in shock and can't believe that I am finally in this stage of my life. But at the same time, I am so excited about it. Over the past few days, pretty much every single person I have told in person, whether I know them that much or not, has asked me one question: how did he do it? So in order to save you guys some time, and to brag on my fiance a bit, here is a little bit about how he proposed.

DIY No-Carve Pumpkin

If you're like me, you love picking out pumpkins and decorating them for Halloween or fall. But not everyone doesn't like the part that comes next - figuring out how you're going to decorate it and then cleaning it out to carve. Personally, I love decorating pumpkins every which way but that it not for everybody. Last weekend while I was at the pumpkin patch (see this post on my visit and outfit), I grabbed a few extra so that I can show you guys some other ways to decorate your orange fruits (yes, pumpkins are fruits).

I love to paint, so obviously, my first no carve idea was to paint my pumpkin. But there are many ways to decorate your pumpkin without carving it! You can paint it, string stuff on it, put pushpins on it, monogram it, etch stuff on it, and I'm sure there's way more.

If you're late in the decorating pumpkin game like I am this year, you know that three days before Halloween is a terrible time to find pumpkins. The only ones out are gross. But after searching long and hard for some pretty ones, I found the pumpkin jackpot at Publix. They had some awesome large pumpkins at the front for only $6, but they also had an assortment of tiny pumpkins. I got a pack of 3 mini pumpkins for $5, and that is the orange pumpkin and black pumpkin you see below. I also got the cutest white pumpkin for only $1. Yeah, only one buckaroo - it doesn't get any better than that. They have lots of colors and sizes in pumpkins and gourds. So hit up your nearest Publix if you still need some cute decorations for the holidays.

Leopard and Maroon

Welcome back to the blog you guys! You might have noticed it looking a bit different, a new July font, and an awesome floral header. After a year, I figured it was finally time to get a new look, one that was more like me. I like this modern but still a little girly look. Let me know what you guys think!

Today's post is an awesome combination of fall colors. Maroon is my number one fall color this year, so I paired it with my my number one leather jacket. These jeans are the most comfortable and easiest to pair with anything jegging from Gap. They are their new Resolute Jean which has an elastic waist. At first, I thought an elastic waist was not for me, but after trying them on, I fell in love. I have always had a problem with the button of my jeans sticking out making it see-able through my shirt. But with these elastic waist, my problem disappears. So don't dismiss things you see in the store just because you think it won't look good on you or you think it's just for pregnant women - you might be surprised.

Autumn Navy Gingham

It is officially FALL! Now, spring and summer are my absolute favorite seasons, but fall is next. Being able to throw on tights, booties, and a scarf makes getting dressed a whole lot easier. So you might notice something about these pictures... I dyed my hair RED! It is the first time I've had it red since high school.  my favorite red, burgundy, so it's more of a purple red which looks great on us white girls.

So if you haven't noticed, I love skirts - they are so girly but can also be dressed down. Now, let's talk about this gingham shirt! One of my favorite ways to wear button downs are to tie them in a cute little bow, pair it with this awesome flared skirt and you've got an outfit. Now, I will say, if you're looking at this outfit and thinking, "I could never pull that off," I am here to tell you - YOU ARE WRONG! Everyone can pull off anything, you just have to pair it with the right things and always stay true to your style. P.S. If you want to meet a woman with some curves and major style, here is Gabifresh, one of my new favorite bloggers to follow along with.

Almost-Fall Stripes

We are so close you guys... 2 weeks from this past Wednesday, it will officially be  F A L L ! Not that it mean it'll get cold in Georgia, that usually doesn't come until late October. So how do I transition my wardrobe in those really awkward few weeks? One of the easiest ways I do this is by throwing a vest over my summer dress. To step it up a notch, I also put on a cute felt hat and some awesome booties. Having a great fall bootie is a staple in every girls closet - dress them up or down, they are always perfect. I've linked a bunchh down below so make sure to check them out.

Free Desktop Backgrounds!

Fun fact about me: I am freakishly obsessed with laptop backgrounds. Literally, I change mine almost every other day! So, I figured there might be some of you out there that like backgrounds too so I have compiled some of my favorites! The first place I always check for new backgrounds is DesignLoveFest. I love her site, it's so clean and chic, everything I aspire to be. You can bookmark the DesignLoveFest home page or just the downloads page. If you go to her home page and scroll down a bit, you can see a sidebar where you can go straight to the Download page. But here are some of my favorite downloads, just click the image to download!!

Summer Neutrals

Readers, I can not tell you how awesome you guys are. I have been gone for a while, and yet you guys are still consistently coming back! Trying to balance school, my Etsy business, and this blog have been a TON of fun, but school has been taking up most all of my time lately. But ya'll are way more than I could hope for for sticking with me.

With that said, here's an easy summer outfit that I put together. This skirt is perfect for summer! It's from J.Crew's 2014 spring line, but I've found some that are similar that are linked below. This Hobo purse is actually an iPad case! It's awesome because it's functional and adorable, but Hobo always produces great quality leather so it is durable and will last me a long time. The hat is from Target back in April or so. It's felt, so it's pretty hot, but then again so is any hat in 90º weather, but I linked some cute alternatives other than felt. My sunglasses are one of my early birthday presents I receiver  and they are so amazing. They are my first pair of "real" sunglasses so I am super excited to have a pair that I'm not worries the sense is gonna pop out. These particular glasses, called "Erika", were only released a couple of weeks ago so I was oddly excited to get some of the newest hot of press ones. Rayon also has a whole place where you can customize these, or any, glasses specifically to your liking. But, if buying a $115 pair of glasses is not in your price range (it's not mine either, but I got mine $45 off, which still makes me sweat) you can grab up Targets latest knock off here! I am almost tempted to return the expensive ones and just get Targets, but I really need a good steady pair so I think I'll stick with them. Hope humpday is treating everyone great!

Cinco de Mayo 2015

Happy Cinco de Mayo friends! Today is a day that most Americans celebrate/use for an excuse to drink and party without knowing it's origin. Well a quick history lesson (because I love history), Cinco de Mayo means "the fifth of May" in Spanish, and it celebrates when the Mexican Army defeated the French in 1862 in an unlikely victory. Today, we wear bright colors and drink margaritas to celebrate the day.

So my dress is only $17! It is super fun and flirty and is great to throw on at the beach. The bag was made by 38th&Co. on Easy and is only $28! Her products are great and I always vote to #shopsmall when I can. These Michael Kors are a gift to myself. I got them during Macy's recent "Family&Friends" sale of 25% off, plus I had a gift card so they ended up being under $100 when they retail for $150. The phone case is great because it is cute, but also durable. It will definitely protect my new 6 from bumps and bruises. My tassel bracelets and tassel earrings I made myself and are for sale on my Etsy shop!

Piperlime Dress Coat

So a few weeks ago, Piperlime had an uh-mazing sale, 60% off a huge chunk of their inventory, plus I had some other coupons. So I made it out of there with this beautiful white Tinley Road dress coat, that was normally $150, for $29. Then I paired it with my new leather boots that I got for Christmas for half off. I've found that putting printed tights with my winter skirts/dresses is way more fun than just regular tights. So switch up your wardrobe and try some fun stockings!

Valentine's Day Goodies (For Her + Him)

My favorite time of the year is finally here, Valentine's Day! I love Valentine's Day with a passion, even if I didn't have a significant other, I would still love it. I love giving gifts to my friends and family, especially when they are as adorable as some of the ones I've like below. Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate the people that you love in your life, plus it has a lot of pink and candy, so it's kinda impossible to not love this day. When people say it's really S.A.D day (Single's Awareness Day) it peeves me because there is always people to celebrate, wether you have a "significant other" or not. But if you are struggling with gifts to get that 'one person', fear not! Because I have scoured the Internet for cute goodies for you! (Plus you might just wanna treat yourself to some things;)

Red Pea Coat + Happy 2015!

Happy New Year! I know, I know, it's been about a month since I posted - but after many rescheduled photo sessions, the holidays, and school starting back up, it gave me an unexpected break from writing about my fashion life. And surprisingly, it was really good to take a step back and think about realistically where I wanted this little passion of mine to go. I have always put really high expectations on myself, this blog included, and some time away reminded me that this is just something that I do for fun - and if in the process I teach someone something or inspire them, then that is just extra icing on a super yummy cake. And I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions, but I would love to hear about yours!

But enough of my rant, I want to know how ya'lls holiday was and what you got for Christmas! I was traveling over the whole Christmas week, but we had a great time visiting almost every side of the family. So I have dubbed this Christmas, "the Christmas of Shoes." (L.L. Bean Duck Boots, red Hunters, these awesome Steve Madden booties, Steve Madden leopard heels {almost sold out everywhere}, Nine West leather boots, Dolce Vita suede boots, and Nike Airs)  Literally, I have never gotten this many shoes in such a short amount of time! Poor me, I know. The secret is... telling people exactly what you want. That seems obvious, but I know what I want, and I lovee opening my gifts and seeing the things that I have been swooning over for months.

On to the outfit! This is one of my favorite dresses, just a little black dress. But this LBD has tiny gold strands in it - making the details awesome. It also has a great deep V back and flares a lot from the waist (which I love!) - see this post for more. After surfing my favorite blogs back during the holidays, I saw someone pair some floral tights with some boots, and I had an "Ah-ha" moment and I must say, I love the turn out. It's plays up what would be boring tights and yet is still classy. And these awesome booties?! They are half suede and half leather, and did I mention that it has double zippers (that work!)? Like a zipper on the outside of your foot and one on the inside, it's intense but a really cute intense - plus I got them on sale so they ended up being only $90 instead of $150.
