It's Week 2 of the $100 Room Challenge! Week 1's are always the befores while Week 2's are my planning week. This week my only goal was to decide on a color to paint the exterior. To do that I did some mockups in Photoshop and finally settled on this nice deep, cool brown.
Last week I shared my inspiration photo with you, something I found on Pinterest. It's a garage but I really liked the colors.
I took that photo and put the exterior color on our shed with Photoshop. And I think it's the right choice! I thought I might like a deep bluer black, but this brown really just fades into the trees.
I also added a natural wood ramp to replace the rotting red one to be sure I didn't want to paint it.
... versus where we are today.
Goals for this weekend are to pick out the final exterior paint color and use the paint sprayer to paint it. So far I've spent $0 but plan to spend a good bit on a nice exterior paint. How is your project going?!
Wow the new paint really makes all the difference in the world! I love the new color.
ReplyDeleteIt's just a digital mockup but hopefully this time next week it'll look like that for real! Thanks!!
DeleteI am loving the new color. It is going to look like a fresh new utility building. Can't wait to see it completed. Happy painting!
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration garage with the natural ramp. When you get the paint it's going to look amazing. Don't know about you but even when I have an inspiration photo and get to the store, I still second guess my decision. Ugh! Don't be like me and second guess yourself... it will be fantastic just the way you've planned. Looking forward to seeing the finished project!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that color!!! I think it will look amazing!!
